A dietitian, who doesn't believe in diets.

I’m Lisa, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), licensed in the state of Illinois (LDN), and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). I graduated from The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Physiology and also have a Master of Science from Concordia University Chicago in Sports Nutrition.

Before Thoughtfully Fueled, I spent years in the fitness industry watching individuals be brainwashed by diet culture disguised as “healthy” or “clean” eating. During this time I was under so much pressure to “look the part” that I found myself constantly thinking about food, skipping social events to workout, and even comparing my body to unrealistic photos on the internet. This is when I decided to break away from diet culture mentality and begin my intuitive fueling journey which has completely changed the way I view food, movement, and my own body.

I’m telling you all of this because I’ve been there. I’ve felt what you’re feeling, and know exactly how hard it is to give up something that once controlled your life. However, I also know what a life without dieting looks like and want to share this freedom with you.
